saw 2005
The film opens with Michael, a police informant, finding himself ensnared in a deadly trap created by the Jigsaw Killer. A videotaped message informs him that the death mask, a Venus flytrap-like helmet, has been locked around his neck and will close on his head unless he finds the key in time. Michael realizes, through hints left by Jigsaw, that the key has been implanted behind his right eye. He finds a scalpel nearby, but cannot bring himself to cut out his own eye; when the timer runs out, the device slams shut, killing him instantly.
After an argument with his rebellious teenage son Daniel (Erik Knudsen), Detective Eric Matthews (Donnie Wahlberg) is called to the scene of Michael's death. Following clues that have been specifically left for him, he is able to pinpoint Jigsaw's lair in an abandoned steel factory. The police raid the building and find Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) himself present, though considerably weakened by cancer. Nearby is a set of computer monitors that show eight people trapped in an abandoned house filling with a deadly sarin gas, the same kind as used in the Tokyo subway attacks. Among them are Daniel and Amanda Young (Shawnee Smith), Jigsaw's only known survivor. He reveals that the victims have 2 hours before dying from the nerve agent, but promises that Matthews will see his son in a "safe, secure state" if he can simply talk with the dying man for a while.
The story now intercuts between Jigsaw's lair as Matthews talks with him in an attempt to buy time while the video signal is traced, and the captives in the house, who are trying to secure antidotes to the nerve gas they are breathing. One of them, Gus (Tony Nappo), is killed by a booby-trapped door shortly after they begin their search. Obi (Tim Burd), an accessory to the other victims' kidnappings, is burned alive while attempting to retrieve two antidotes in a furnace. The group later finds a pit filled with thousands of used and bloody hypodermic syringes, with a key to an antidote hidden within. Xavier, the intended victim, throws Amanda into the pit rather than search for the key himself. Amanda retrieves the key, but Xavier fumbles with it and fails to unlock the door to the antidote before its timer runs out.
Meanwhile, Jigsaw explains his evolution into a killer to Matthews and reveals to him that the seven adults trapped in the house are criminals that Matthews has framed. Should Daniel's identity be discovered, he will be in great danger. Matthews, growing impatient with Jigsaw's philosophical ramblings, trashes several models and plans but fails to move Jigsaw.
Xavier, having abandoned the others, realizes that one number of the combination to the safe has been written on the back of each of the victims' necks. After killing Jonas in a fight, he begins stalking the remaining four, who have been made aware that Daniel is the son of the adults' arresting officer. Laura soon dies from gas exposure, and Addison's arms become trapped in a glass box containing razors as she tries to retrieve an antidote for herself.
Matthews, meanwhile, loses control and violently assaults Jigsaw, eventually forcing him to take him to the house at gunpoint. As they depart, the tech team pinpoints the signal, prompting the others to travel to its origin. In the house, Xavier pursues Amanda and Daniel through a hidden basement tunnel, which leads to the bathroom of the first film (including the bodies of Adam Faulkner and Zep Hindle, and the severed foot of Dr. Lawrence Gordon, all now badly decomposed), where Daniel then collapses. Amanda remarks that Xavier has no way of learning his own number, whereupon he slices off a piece of skin from the back of his neck to read it. After he threatens Amanda, Daniel, who has only feigned collapse, fatally slashes Xavier's throat.
SWAT team arrives at the location of the video signal, but it is not the same house that has been shown on the monitors in Jigsaw's lair; these images were previously recorded and are being played back from videotape. Reaching the correct house, Matthews enters the bathroom (now empty except for the bodies) and is injected in the leg with a sedative. At the abandoned lair, a timer expires and a safe opens, revealing a hyperventilating Daniel inside.
Matthews awakens to find himself chained by the ankle to the bathroom's pipework. An audio tape lying next to him reveals that Amanda has put him there. In a montage of flashbacks, she is shown to have become Jigsaw's protégé. Amanda appears in the door and says "Game over," before closing the bathroom door as Matthews screams threats and abuse. Outside the house, a badly beaten Jigsaw slowly forms a smile.
Saw 2004
Two men wake up at opposite sides of a dirty, disused bathroom, chained by their ankles to pipes. Between them lies a dead man loosely clutching a hand-held tape player and a handgun. Each finds a tape the perfect fit for the player in their back pocket. They play the tapes. One is threatened, the other isn't. But they have a task: One must kill the other by 6:00, or his wife and daughter will die. They find hacksaws in a toilet, and try to cut the chains, but it doesn't work. They are the two newest victims of the Jigsaw Killer. In a flashback, we learn of Amanda, a girl who falls victim to the Jigsaw Killer. On her head is a mask, which is hooked into her lower jaw. There is a timer on it. Only one key will unlock it, and that key is in the digestive tract of her cell mate who lies paralyzed on the opposite side of the room. If she doesn't unlock the mask in time, her lower jaw will be ripped wide open. She survives, but her cell mate doesn't. Through a series of flashbacks, we learn of more victims, and of the nearly-successful capture of the Jigsaw Killer, who doesn't actually kill his victims. Instead, he finds ways to make them kill either themselves, or each other, and he thinks the entire 'game' out perfectly, with no other ways out. Or so it would seem.

The Devil's Advocate (1997)
Defense attorney Kevin Lomax (Keanu Reeves) is defending a schoolteacher, Mr. Gettys (Chris Bauer), against a charge of child molestation in the small town of Gainesville, Florida. During the trial, Kevin believes his client is guilty. During a recess, a reporter speaks to Kevin briefly in the restroom and tells Kevin that "nobody wins 'em all." Kevin still decides to go forward and wins the case after a harsh cross-examination of the young witness (Heather Matarazzo) that destroys her credibility.
At a celebration after the conclusion of the trial, Kevin is approached by a representative of the law firm of Milton, Chadwick & Waters, who offers him a large sum of money to help the firm with a trial. Kevin accepts the offer and he and his wife, Mary Ann (Charlize Theron), depart for New York. After successfully performing the task, and because of his good track record of having never lost a case, he is made an offer by John Milton (Al Pacino) to join the firm, for a large salary and a swank apartment. Kevin accepts.
Kevin's first trial is defending a man who ritualistically sacrifices an animal. He soon wins this case, citing Kashrut laws and claiming that the defendant was exercising his rights to freedom of religion. During the trial however, Kevin has begun to spend much time at work and less time with Mary Ann. She feels out of place and abandoned.
Kevin's next assignment is defending Alexander Cullen (Craig T. Nelson) in a high-profile murder trial. This trial is even more demanding of Kevin's time, making him separate more from Mary Ann. He is also having fantasies about Christabella Andreoli (Connie Nielsen), a beautiful co-worker. The alienation between Kevin and Mary Ann is further compounded when Milton tempts Kevin with various vices. Mary Ann starts to show signs of a serious mental illness. Milton suggests that Kevin step down from the trial to look after his wife, saying that "the world would understand", but Kevin decides to go forward.
Eddie Barzoon (Jeffrey Jones), a managing attorney, thinks that Kevin is competing for his job after finding Kevin's name in the company papers as a partner. Kevin claims that he does not know anything about it but Eddie is not mollified and leaves Kevin while threatening to tell a certain person named Weaver about things. Kevin approaches Milton and tells him about the situation with Eddie. While jogging in Central Park, Eddie is beaten to death by two vagrants, who take on demonic appearances during the murder. Mary Ann sees this from her apartment window, causing her mental state to become even worse.
While preparing Cullen's assistant, Melissa Black (Laura Harrington) for a testimony, Kevin believes that she is lying and tells Milton he believes Cullen is guilty. Milton again offers Kevin the opportunity to step down from the trial, saying that he will back him on any decision. Again, Kevin decides to proceed and wins the case.
Upon returning home from the trial Kevin finds Mary Ann in a nearby church. She claims she spent the whole afternoon having sex during which she is maimed by Milton. However, as Kevin had seen Milton in court with him at the time of the alleged attack, he believes Mary Ann has done the damage to herself and has her committed to a mental institution.
Kevin is approached by a man presenting himself as Mitch Weaver. Weaver is an investigator for the Justice Department with insight into shady involvements of the law firm. Kevin doesn't want to listen and tries to walk away, stopping only when Weaver tells him that his former client, Mr. Gettys, was found with the dead body of a young girl. Weaver, however, thinking he has gotten Kevin to listen, walks out in the street, is hit by a car and is killed instantly.
The sequence with Kevin and Mitch Weaver is interwoven with a sequence showing Milton standing at the back of the church where the funeral service for Eddie Barzoon is being held. Milton looks up, grinning, while holding his finger above the stoup of holy water. At the climax of the sequence, he actually dips his finger into the holy water and it boils.
Kevin's mother (Judith Ivey) and Pam (Debra Monk), Kevin's co-worker at the firm, go to visit Mary Ann in the hospital. While being left alone with Mary Ann, Pam appears as a demon to Mary Ann through a mirror. Mary Ann suffers a severe panic attack, locks herself into the room and commits suicide, while Kevin makes an attempt to stop her. After this Kevin learns from his mother that Milton is his father. Devastated and distraught, he leaves the hospital to confront Milton.
Kevin finds Milton in his apartment and Milton admits to having raped Mary Ann. Kevin furiously shoots at Milton with a gun but the bullets do no damage. Kevin learns that Milton is not only his father, but also Satan. Kevin blames Milton for everything that happened but comes to realize it was all his own doing. Kevin finally relents and agrees with Milton, acknowledging that he wanted to win, no matter what, and left Mary Ann behind.
Milton reveals his goal of wanting to beat God and also dismisses the Biblical prophecy saying he's going to lose. He then explains that he wants Kevin and Christabella, now revealed to be Kevin's half-sister, to conceive a child: the Antichrist. Kevin recognizes that this is something he must do out of free will and negotiates with Milton, who offers Kevin anything that he wants. However, Kevin rejects his Satanic heritage and, citing free will, he commits suicide, ending Milton's plans.
We find Kevin in the past, at the recess of the Gettys trial. Upon returning to the trial, Kevin this time announces that he can no longer represent his client, despite the possibility of being disbarred.
The reporter follows Kevin and Mary Ann leaving the courthouse, offering to interview Kevin about his decision, saying it will make him a star. After some prodding from Mary Ann, Kevin accepts the offer. After Kevin and Mary Ann exit the courthouse, the reporter transforms into Milton and says with a grin, "Vanity...definitely my favorite sin"
Alfredo James “Al” Pacino
He is well known for his roles as Michael Corleone in the The Godfather trilogy, Sonny Wortzik in Dog Day Afternoon, Tony Montana in Scarface, Carlito Brigante in the 1993 film Carlito's Way, Frank Serpico in Serpico, Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade in Scent of a Woman, and Roy Cohn in Angels in America. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1992 for his role in Scent of a Woman after being nominated 7 times beforehand for various roles.
Pacino was born in East Harlem, Manhattan, the son of Italian American parents Rose (née Gerardi) and Salvatore Alfred Pacino, who divorced when he was two years old. His mother subsequently moved to the South Bronx, to live with her parents, Kate and James Gerardi, who originated from Corleone, Sicily. His father moved to Covina, California, working as an insurance salesman and owner of his own restaurant called Pacino's Lounge, which closed down in 1992. Pacino attended a school officially named The School of Performing Arts: A Division of the Fiorello H La Guardia High School of Music and the Arts in New York City, the main school of which was attended by fellow Godfather II actor Robert De Niro.
On January 7, 1961, Pacino and two others were seen by police circling in their vehicle in a suspicious manner, and wearing black masks and gloves. When police pulled them over, Pacino was found to be carrying a concealed weapon and was arrested. Pacino, who was 21 years old and living in New York City, stayed in the Rhode Island ACI for three days before being released when it was found that the weapons were, in fact, props from a movie set.
While Pacino has never married, he has three children. The first, Julie Marie, (b. 1989) is his daughter with acting coach Jan Tarrant. He also has twins, Anton James and Olivia Rose (b. January 25, 2001), with ex-girlfriend Beverly D'Angelo, whom he dated from 1997 until 2001.

Dali & I: The Surreal Story
The Godfather 1972
The story begins as "Don" Vito Corleone, the head of a New York Mafia "family", oversees his daughter's wedding. His beloved son Michael has just come home from the war, but does not intend to become part of his father's business. Through Michael's life the nature of the family business becomes clear. The business of the family is just like the head of the family, kind and benevolent to those who give respect, but given to ruthless violence whenever anything stands against the good of the family. Don Vito lives his life in the way of the old country, but times are changing and some don't want to follow the old ways and look out for community and "family". An up and coming rival of the Corleone family wants to start selling drugs in New York, and needs the Don's influence to further his plan. The clash of the Don's fading old world values and the new ways will demand a terrible price, especially from Michael, all for the sake of the family.
Vito Corleone is the aging don (head) of the Corleone Mafia Family. His youngest son Michael has returned from WWII just in time to see the wedding of Connie Corleone (Michael's sister) to Carlo Rizzi. All of Michael's family is involved with the Mafia, but Michael just wants to live a normal life. Drug dealer Virgil Sollozzo is looking for Mafia Families to offer him protection in exchange for a profit of the drug money. He approaches Don Corleone about it, but, much against the advice of the Don's lawyer Tom Hagen, the Don is morally against the use of drugs, and turns down the offer. This does not please Sollozzo, who has the Don shot down by some of his hit men. The Don barely survives, which leads his son Michael to begin a violent mob war against Sollozzo and tears the Corleone family apart.
Scent of A Woman
Frank is a retired Lt Col in the US army. He's blind and impossible to get along with. Charlie is at school and is looking forward to going to university; to help pay for a trip home for Christmas, he agrees to look after Frank over thanksgiving. Frank's niece says this will be easy money, but she didn't reckon on Frank spending his thanksgiving in New York.
In New Hampshire, Charlie Simms attends the Baird School, an all boys boarding school with rigorous classes and expensive enrollment. Yearning for cash from a part-time job so he can return to his family in Oregon for upcoming Christmas Break, the innocent Simms accepts a job for "babysitting" at a nearby household. The job is not what he expects, for he is commissioned to watch over an unlikeable, blunt behaved blind ex-colonel named Slade who has a keen ability at selecting his aides. Because of his sympathetic and integral nature, Charlie agrees to the job. Before he can even locate his level of comfort in the job, Simms is unexpectedly taken to New York City with the colonel, where the ex-military man has several agendas of his own.
Righteous Kill (2008)
Academy Award® winners Robert de Niro (Raging Bull) and Al Pacino (Scent of a Woman) star as a pair of veteran New York City police detectives on the trail of a vigilante serial killer. An adrenaline fueled psychological thriller, Righteous Kill was directed by Jon Avnet (Red Corner, Fried Green Tomatoes) and written by Russell Gewirtz (Inside Man). The cast also features hip-hop superstar Curtis Jackson (Get Rich or Die Tryin').
A pair of partners in the pressure cooker environment of the NYPD, highly decorated detectives David Fisk and Thomas Cowan should be ready for retirement, but aren't. Before the detectives can hang up their badges, they are called in to investigate the vigilante murder of a righteous notorious pimp, who appears to have ties to a case they solved years before.
Like the original murder, the victim is a suspected criminal whose body is found accompanied by a four line poem justifying the killing. When additional crimes take place, it becomes clear the detectives are looking for a serial killer, one who targets criminals that have fallen through the cracks of the judicial system. His mission is to do what the cops can't do on their own - take the culprits off the streets for good. The similarities between the recent killings and their earlier case raise a nagging question: Did they put the wrong man behind bars?
